Protecting Our Soldiers Top to Bottom

Great Combat Gear

We send police and soldiers out everyday in clothing designed specifically for their protection, more commonly known as combat gear for those professionals who make use of it on a daily basis. The gear has been around in our armed forces since the Vietnam war. And since that time the protective clothing and equipment has changed dramatically. For the Vietnam war your gear would have been rifle, grenades, ammo, pack and a helmet. If you were tank crew member or pilot your gear was going to be different. For tank crew you would get your helmet, and .45 pistol, pilots would collect their map/notebook, gloves, pen, sidearm, survival knife and flares.

Currently the list of items issued to troops fighting is long extensive and designed to make sure as many as possible make it home to their families. They are issued a modular tactical vest, light weight helmet, some soldiers have an advanced bomb suit, and for chemical/biological defense there is a M50 joint service general mask. This has been upgraded overtime to offer protection against the new and improved firearms, and fighting methods that have been seen in current battles.

Amazing Combat GearA pack is issued to all and is being updated to work with new gear and keep all items secure, and safe as well as waterproof. And if you are a sniper you have a special pack called the gunslinger which protects your rifle while on the move.

Gear is improving each and everyday with new technology and our soldiers are becoming more and more safe with every new invention. If you are a civilian you have access to some of the clothing and boots that the troops wear on a daily basis. To locate combat gear for you to purchase all you have to do is an internet search for such items. It will return results in the thousands of places to purchase this equipment. You can get boots, pants, vests, helmets, radios, all of the stuff you need for an adventure. The armed forces have different clothes depending on what climate they are in as well as what terrain they are in and you have not gotten the full effect until you try dehydrated meals.
