Here's the breakdown of the four phases:

Phase 1 is a lightweight first layer that has superior moisture-wicking and clean seams for dry, irritation-free wear. Phase 1 wear is perfect for hot to temperate weather.

Phase 2 is a mid-weight waffle garment that works as a great base layer for temperate to cold climates or as an individual piece in warmer weather.

Phase 3 is super mid-weight and adds four-way stretch and 8% spandex to XGO's acclimate dry polyester to make this heavier garment more flexible. These shirts also have better insulating properties than regular cotton undergarments.

Phase 4 is heavy-weight tech face fleece, a strong layer with four-way stretch and 10% spandex for the ultimate balance of warmth and maneuverability.
