The Wiley X Tactical Black Ops collection is a series of glasses designed to protect eyes and enhance vision for those who are always on alert. All Wiley X Black Ops glasses exceed ANSI Z87.1-2003 high velocity standards. That means that each pair has been tested by dropping 1/4" steel balls at 20 impact points at a velocity of 150 ft/sec, or 102 mph. To pass this test, the lens cannot fracture or dislodge from the frame. This standard proves Wiley X glasses will protect your eyes.

The Tactical Black Ops collection includes the Slay, Zak, P-17, Air Rage, Brick, Hydro, and Revolvr. All of these use smoke grey lenses, which reduce glare, won't distort colors, and are 13% polarized. All but the Revolvr also come in polarized versions, which give optimal clarity and contrast and are 100% UV protected. The P-17's polarized version uses an emerald mirror/amber tint lens to enhance color contrast. It is also available with bronze brown lenses to amplify perception of ground level contours. The Air Rage's polarized version has blue mirror lenses to minimize glare.

There are some non-stylistic differences between each pair of glasses in the Tactical Black Ops collection. The Slay and P-17 have non-slip rubberized temples to help grip the glasses to your face. The Revolvr uses Wrapback technology to extend the lenses and give you better peripheral vision. The Air Rage is made for smaller faces. Both it and the Brick have a removable facial cavity seal made of flame resistant foam to keep out wind, debris, and peripheral light that could distract you from your mission. The facial cavity seal has ventilation that directs air from the top vents down through the bottom vents to prevent lenses from fogging up. The Brick also has an unbreakable triloid nylon frame and neoprene temple socks to make sure your glasses stay on even in extreme movement.
