Based on a circa '58 Algerian Lizard pattern camouflage jacket that was issued to the French Foreign Legion, this jacket is as functional today as they were then. We started with extremely durable and wear resistant 9 ounce 100% cotton herringbone twill, treated it with DuPont Teflon fabric protector for a breathable, durable barrier that repels both water and oil based spills, and then garment-washed it for a broken-in feel. The jacket features four bellows pockets with drain holes at the bottom of the pockets, elastic webbing on the inside to secure smaller items like magazines or a flashlight, and buckable flaps with hook-and-loop fastener on both the inside and outside of the pocket. The top pockets also each feature a vertical zippered security pocket. On the left sleeve there is a zippered pocket as well as a pen holder. The front of the jacket secures with a hidden zipper and hook-and-loop closure system. The zipper is strategically placed to keep the jacket closed yet still allow you freedom of motion. There are four internal pockets with elastic loops for securing additional gear. Drawstring bottom with cordlock. Elastic cuffs with adjustable button closures. Timeless style looks equally good on the street or in the field.
