The Rocky S2V Military Boot was designed with the Special Operations warrior in mind, and caught my eye when it was first introduced about a year and a half ago (at the time of this writing). Since its release, I've heard generally good things about it, so I figured it was time I gave them a try. Rocky named the S2V after a Navy SEAL motto: "Stealth + Silence = Victory". For the S2V, Rocky consulted with SOF soldiers to determine what they wanted from a combat boot. From their requirements and feedback, the S2V was designed. S2V Review January 22, 2008 Reviewer: Scott Pedigo from Lewisville, TX United States   I was asked to T&E this new product from Rocky.  Over my past 24 years in LE I have worn all kinds of tactical footwear.  Generally after finding something I really like I stay with it.  Oakley was my boot of choice but the S2V gave it a run for the money.  The S2V was comfortable right out of the box with virtually no "break in" period required.  It has excellent ankle support and I liked the quick lacing system with nylon (not cotton) laces.  The sole provided excellent grip and stability and looked great.  In addition, the sole was stitched and not glued like so many currently do.  The vents kept my feet from sweating....the S2V looks good in addition to its comfort and durability.  My only reccomendation would be to treat the brushed leather before wearing to prevent stains.
