Standout Features Size Chart   Designed to improve access to pockets as well as increase comfort levels while wearing interceptor body armor, the Army Combat Uniform has a 50% cotton and 50% nylon ripstop fabric content making it world-wide deployable. Its pixelated pattern of green-woodland, grey-urban, and sand-brown desert allows for better concealment in any terrain. Why the ACU? Several changes have been made to improve functionality of the Army Combat Uniform: The bottom pockets on the jacket were removed and placed on the shoulder sleeves so Soldiers can have access to them while wearing body armor. The pockets were tilted forward for easy accessibility Buttons were replaced with zippers that open from the top and bottom to provide comfort while wearing armor Patches and tabs are affixed to the uniform with Velcro, allowing nametapes and patches to be removed from uniforms before laundering and eliminating the cost of having them sewn on. What else is new? Twenty new features make the Army Combat Uniform superior to the current BDU.
