Carefully observe nature and you will notice that every living thing is well designed for adapting to its environment. By taking clues from how living things defend themselves, the new K2 light appears to behave just like a Porcupine Fish, a rounded-shape, harmless-looking fish that swims slowly and freely in the open water. But when threatened, a porcupine fish radiates its spikes outwards to protect itself. Those spikes induce fear and strike harm to its predators unexpectedly. Cleverly created by Nature, it hides its spikes when not needed, but quickly raised when under threat. If Nature is a designer of flashlights, K2 would be the self defense light that Nature has created.

The spikes around the head of K2 protrude outward when the spike protector is turned. These sharpened spikes make K2 a powerful self defense tool. But when the spikes are not needed, raising the protector prevents accidental self cutting and possible damages of its surroundings.

Retractable Spike Protector: A protector ring that can be raised or lowered with one quick turn to reveal spikes for self defense.

Replaceable Spikes: Anti-abrasive and anti-scratch MIL-SPEC type III finish in black, similar to the tempered glass front lens, the spikes can be easily replaced if damaged.

Xenon Light Source: Incandescent bulb producing 70 lumens of blinding white light and cuts through the darkness with a sharp beam of powerful illumination.

K2 Features

The spike protector can be lowered quickly to reveal or raised easily to hide the spike underneath the protector. The triple fast thread allows the rapid movement of the spike protector from the top to the bottom with less than one full turn. With some practice, the protector can even be raised or lowered with just one hand. By twisting the spike protector between the thumb and the index finger, the spikes are revealed as K2 is drawn to an attack position in one single motion.

The spike exterior is anodized to meet military spec type III specification for repeated abrasions and scratches. In the event of spike damages, the spike head cap can be easily removed and replaced, similar to replacing the front glass lens if it has been cracked or shattered.
