Tight budgets and rising ammunition prices have influenced the training, practice, informal competition, and plinking activities of many shooters. Addressing these concerns, RUAG has developed MFS Coupled Performance pistol and rifle ammunition.

This new product attacks the high price of ammunition in three ways:

1. Reduces manufacturing costs by using zinc-plated steel cartridge cases and flat base bullets (except .223 Rem.), produced on the most modern high speed machinery.
   
   
2. Reduces, or eliminates, the high price differential between soft point and full metal jacket ammunition of similar calibers.
   
   
3. Soft point and full metal jacket bullets of the same caliber and approximate weight were developed and loaded to have similar exterior ballistics. This allows shooters to retain the same point of aim regardless of what load they are shooting, soft point or full metal jacket, at no additional cost.

Using the MFS Coupled Performance concept, shooters are able to use full metal jacket bullet rifle ammunition to extend their shooting sessions, and then switch to Coupled Performance soft point bullet ammunition for hunting.

Alternately, non-hunters seeking to reduce their rifle ammunition costs for practice, informal competition, plinking and personal defense, will find the extra value of MFS Coupled Performance full metal jacket ammunition allows them to enjoy additional shooting.
