The Lowa Elite Desert boot uses the Vibram MVS outsole. Vibram, the leading outsole manufacturer for top tier boots, doesn't disappoint with this no-nonsense sole. The rounded heel and SPS anti-pronation/supination zones guide the foot and promote a natural walking gait, and when you need to change speed or direction, it has thrust lugs for forward traction and braking lugs for quick stopping. The Vibram MVS outsole also has increased surface area at high-wear points for durability, and when they finally do give out after years of hard use, the cemented attachment means the soles can be replaced.
Soft split leather and breathable fabric make the upper part of this boot comfortable almost immediately. Quick
drying lining wicks moisture away from the foot to keep it cool and dry. The midsole is polyurethane for support
that doesn't trap in heat, and the Cambrelle section in the heel area provides extra support. What's more,
there are no internal seams to create hot spots and flaps protect your foot from rubbing against the tongue gusset folds.
Along with closed loop top hooks, this feature makes lacing up for a comfortable fit quick and easy. Toes even get
special treatment with extra room and a rubber cap for increased durability and resistance to wear.
