Standout Features Manufacturer Capabilities   Paris 1 is a programmable infrared signaling beacon constructed from a solid billet of aircraft aluminum. Featuring an integrated extendable shroud, the beacons signal can be focused in a specific direction limiting unwanted emissions during covert actions. The Paris series of beacons incorporates a virtually indestructible watertight design making the Paris superbly suited for water to land deployment and special forces operations. The Paris 1 has three user-selectable flash patterns; the first code pattern is fixed flash rate code identical to the Phoenix Jr., the second code pattern is the International Morse Code signal (S-O-S) and the third is installed as needed by the user in the field. The beacons signal is turned ON or OFF simply by rotating the bezel, while programming and flash pattern selection is carried out via two programming pins located on the top of the unit. Miniature indicator lights within the device will flash the pattern as it is being recorded by the user to confirm the code being stored. During operation, the user can reactivate the miniature indicator lights at anytime allowing the operator to visually confirm the broadcast code in situations where their own night vision equipment has become lost or damaged. The Paris beacon is powered by two CR123A batteries. Optional magnetic and non magnetic mounting bases are also available for securing the beacon to rigid surfaces such as vehicles.
