Closed cell foam flotation and padded panels around the waist provide buoyancy and comfort. If the closed cell foam flotation panels are not needed they can easily be removed. There are pouches for numerous items such as mag pouches, smoke grenades, canteens, parachute flares, radios, etc. It doesn't interfere with backpacks or E&E Gear and comes in two configurations, one for riflemen and one for machine gunners.  .75" closed cell foam shoulder straps with triple load bearing belt attachment. 1" fully adjustable sternum strap.
